In the meantime, Forex Real Profit issued a no-trade alert for 25.04, which I chose to ignore due to commodity. My forward test had 13 long trades today. As it turns out, the EA loses track of its trades if it is restarted and this was a direct result of my crashes during the past week. Luckily, the trades were well into profit and I dare say the EA would8217ve closed them at a nice profit itself, although it would have probably been slightly lower. 16.01.2011 8211 I8217ve moved the forward tests on a VM on my personal linux server a while ago, but since 2 weeks ago, it started to crash regularly and I have yet to find out why, so I moved back all the EAs to a VPS. So im 6500 out of pocket in 1 day. I accept the consequences, however just realise that it WILL wipe an account if you arent aware of the margin call prob. The accounts all profited since then prior to 8/15/12 and after. Not as much as i would like but it seems that as more trades are open, the weekly profits get larger and larger as theres more batches to TP. When the 175K risk 2.0 was running 2.1, i had the start lot size at 0.20. I was very happy with the results at the time. It averaged 10 a week. The average DD was amazingly low. Less then 1 for most of the time. Of course when the markets became volitile, the DD hit up to 20 until it closed the batches and then balance went up, and floating DD went right back to under 1. I am very risk tolerant and was just amazed at how this animal works. Then came the 350K. Before 8/15/12, the 175K accts were running 2.1 with various settings, hence the various results. The 350K was started on 8/15/12 and that is probably why it has smaller gains because I didn8217t have any of the 2.1 batches prior to trading. As you will see in the vendors account that started on August 1, 2012, it was very similar to the 350K. Slow start, even down .3 on a batch or two, building batches and soon as the market starts to move, it will begin TPing the batches (profits). I actually put an FATP on the 350K and will start running different tests on it. DD of 80-90 All 14 trades (from 0.01 to 3.5 lot) had been fully used and there was only 10-20 pips missing i until would be wipped out. Martingale is all about staying in the game, so foolishly or luckily i decided to close the smaller positions (from 0.10 to 0.32 lots NZDUSD) and free up margin, in order to be able to keep in the game maybe 5-10 pips more. I turned off the computer and kissing my account good bye8230.. DELETING POSITIONS (0.01 to 0.31) ACTUALLY FREED UP SLOTS SO THAT FE COULD DOUBLE UP AGAIN. when i looked in the account i saw that my account was still alive and that my biggest position was 5 Lots with TP of 0.82916, that got hit 2 hours ago. So i ended up WINNING today. PURE LUCK With my XEMARKETS (v3, margin of 1500 at about the same time) account i did not delete positions and FE did not double up at the same level, because the 14 slots were taken. TP is at 0.8260. still losing. this account is much smaller, so the loss is a couple of hundred USD. lessons learned - gt OVER OVER OVER fund your account in order to be able to stay in the game. Deleting positions opens up the possibiliies for FE to double up even more. my next steps Freeze on take profit at peperstone and transfer the cash to a micro account, to stay in the game. If your account survived, I suggest turning on FreezeAfterTP for all currency pairs and re-enabling it only after the market conditions settle. At this point the floating p/l is down about 30 on the open trades with a 600 account and up 15 on the closed trades for last week. It8217s not entirely clear to me exactly how FATP works, so I was thinking of just turning EA off, closing off the losing positions, and letting the positions in the black run, (and do some manual trading) and then when things settle down, turning EA back on when advised by TE. Does that sound like a good plan I feel just terrible for everyone who lost so much money this week. For me, a relative newcomer to this game, the lessons have been good ones, though. Play with what you can afford to use. With a martingale, plan for the inevitable crash and burn 8211 take profits regularly into the savings account and bet that you8217ll more than recoup principal make a healthy profit between those crashes. Envy is just an account blower, not sure why Birt continues to promote it and trash other better martingale EA8217s. Just look at the accounts being shown. 2 of 5 are blown. The 3 that are still alive have a min draw down of 50 with Birts live account having a max DD of 82 and hes running at about the lowest risk possible making only 0.17 a day. There are much better and cheaper alternatives out there that have been around a lot longer. Hi wondering if anyone could share their experiences of FE over the last 12 months. I have purchased Envy and have run HV Long and made my investment back fairly quickly in a 3 week period. I have put back on demo through December, still with solid results but am looking for any information over the last 12 months from users before I put back on live in mid Jan. Also trialing Ultra and made amazing results last week. Any stories to tell from this. Gracias
